i have a champ 530 forklift with a chrysler ind 33 flathead--265 cid i think-25 inch long head-- i am in need of a camshaft and cam shaft gear-- the motor i believe is a counter-clockwise rotation. i will asume that the camshaft in a clockwise rotation and a counter-clockwise rotation must be differant--anyone know for sure?
There are basically two options. 1 - use a reverse ground cam shaft. Or 2 - use a differnt drive style, like chain drive vs. gear drive. At one of my former jobs we had a Chrysler 413 reverse rotation that threw a rod. The mechanic searched and couldn't find another block that would accept the Mopar gear drive so he ended up getting the block welded back together. ISZ
