I have a Cat 302.5 mini excavator. I am going to add a thumb. Obviously the hydraulic fittings on the arm are Cat. Can I change these fittings to another make so they will also let me use the other attachments I have (ie a post hole auger)?
Yes , just put the fittings to your standards as long as they are according to the flow and pressure , and of course of good quality
