Does anyone know where I can get a color coded schematic for Cat 305 C hydraulic lines. Dealership no help. We had to remove platform to access swing motor. Instructions identified certain lines to disconnect but when lifting platform for removal there were a few more lines to disconnect. In our rush to remove did not mark those lines, dealership will come out to connect four lines for 465.00. Probably less than half an hours work, total rip.
There's 3 serial number prefixes to choose from. Which is yours? Dealer response not surprising. What you are asking for doesn't exist. I don't think a hydraulic schematic would be of much help to you but I'll send you one anyway. Keep an eye on your messages.

The area that those hoses are connected to identified as the pilot valve for boom swing and right side of travel valve, they have color coded clips labeled L2 & L4 for the pilot valve and L1 & L3 for the right side of travel valve,
See the attachment. The Parts List on Page 2 has 8 different colour-coded bands for the various pilot hoses. Is this what you are after.? That reminds me of the story of the guy called in to fix a machine. After a few minutes he chalked a cross on a component and said "replace that" and gave the customer a bill for $1000. Replacing the component put the machine back into operation. When asked for a breakdown of his bill his response was "1 cross - $1. Knowing where to put said cross - $999". You're in a similar position IMHO.
