Can anyone suggest a compression test kit other than the oem part #? The Deere compression test kit has been back ordered for over a year now.
If you cannot find the kit or the adapter, maybe a service call from a John Deere dealer and have them check it. Valve backlash been checked ? A leak down test with a rubber tipped air gun isn't nearly as good as the kit you are looking for, but it may give you an indication of a problem.
