Hello, I need to know, if I loan money for Big construction machines is there any way to encumber the title in addition to UCC filing so it can't be sold without paying off the loan? Is there something like an automobile lien for machinery? I loan for Real Estate and Construction loans with Deeds of Trust, promissory notes and everything is recorded but this is new for me. The equipment is: Cat model 313 BSR Excavator w/Dig Bucket & 2007 Terex XA400 Jaw Crusher
As far as I know the UCC filing is the only thing you have short of a sheriff and a court order. You can't even get that without the UCC filing. There is no title that I know of. Only a bill of sale.
