Afternoon, I've got an 02 cat 301.8 with the perkins in it. My temp guage has stopped working recently so i bought a new sensor from cat and went to put it in today but i can't find it. Does anyone know the location of it. Thanx Marc
Ok so i found a replaced the coolant sensor, My owners manual doesn't say what specification for coolant just that it's extended life. Is it red or orange?
ELC is is compatible with other brands of long life coolants. The only one i would avoid is dex cool. EC-1 or ASTM D4985 is the industry coolant specification.
