you can turn this either way to adjust trailer to correct heigth Buyers PM84 Pintle Hook Mount 10 Ton | eBay Warranty Claims. www.ebay.com
That's what I have
you posted a link to a 5 ton hitch. What are you saying? If you have that hitch it will work. But it is not correct based on the axles on the trailer.
Talking about lunette size. 10k is plenty... well unless that trailer weighs more than I think it does.
I didn't purchase from Amazon but I have a Curt branded straight lunette ring hitch as represented in the photo. It is very strong and has been with me many years toting welders and my air compressor all over. The heaviest tongue weight is my 1845C skid steer with bucket and forks. It's not bent, or deflected at all and is very robust. Not a sales pitch but rather my experiences. That insert the pintle is installed into was to bring the air compressor tongue up more level when traveling. This photo is prior to building that little appliance: That air compressor is far too heavy for a guy to pick up the tongue without a jack, though I've never weighed it. Fuel tank is 50 gallons and right behind the front enclosure wall. It's been pulled a lot of miles with that pintle insert. This is the ride attitude with the insert and pintle ring. It works well:

Not trying to tell anyone what to do but since i started using a pintle hitch i mounted the hitch permanently above the receiver hitch . Its hard to see but its there. On my pickup it had a good bumper i mounted it were the license plate would go.
I just have a 2" receiver on the truck. Tie other stuff so a bolt on would probably get in the way. Just need to haul it a few miles from the auction yard
They have nice products. Never heard of them. Thanks for the link.
At least on the west coast--you won't find a truck trailer fuel transport without Premier equipment.
Not seeing any there.
Aw that's right Premier only makes hitches for big stuff .
Have big hitches on 2 big trucks, but they are buried in the snow and not licensed
CURT 48004 Pintle Hook Hitch for 2-Inch Receiver, 20,000 lbs, Fits 2-1/2-Inch Lunette Ring, GLOSS BLACK POWDER COAT $77.39 Amazon Prime This is what I have. Works great.
A couple of our tandem dump trucks haul 3 axle tag along trailers with receiver hitches. One hauls my SD45 roller and Mauldin grader in one load, and when I consider that that one little pin holds it in place, I shudder.
Doesn't the pin hold the latch for the door in place? So the latch is holding it.
Door?
This latch door thingy holds it closed from the ring while the pin just holds it from opening from inertia or bouncing around. My understanding u could be wrong.
