CX36B Slew Ring, Bearing, or motor

On my 2011 mini ex, it operates just fine and no noise or binding when slewing. But, if I grab the boom and move it from side to side it has some give...maybe an inch or two. Is this play in the motor or bearing? And , can I just deal with it or is there a danger in something bad happening? Thanks in advance for any help. I have yet to find an inspection plate. But not looked too hard yet.

normal gear slop at the ring.

Good, thank you. This machine drove pilings for piers and seawalls....has not had the easiest first few years.

what you want to look out for is too much play in the slewing bearing itself. It will put excess pressures on the swing gear and eventually take out the seal and bearing.

Good day This may help your concerns, the movement you describe is often referred to as flank play, which can be measured by out stretching the equipment at full reach on level ground and rocking the bucket back and forth. Getting the measurement is not so difficult, however not many manufacturers actually publish the limits. Kind regards Uffex
