I've got a 07 cat 262b that I've been redoing seals for all the cylinders. Never rebuilt cylinders before but caterpillar service is ridiculously expensive. I I got the lift cylinders apart and repacked and was able to get them back together without too much trouble. So moved on to the tilt cylinders. After taking apart and repacking the first tilt cylinder I can't seem to get the piston back in the cylinder. For whatever reason it's been way more difficult and just rocking and shoving like I did for the lifts isn't working. Piston seals just won't go. I'm pretty certain my seals are the correct ones. Any advice on what exact tool to buy or use to compress them or best method to do this?
