Thanks for all the compliments. We sandblasted all the side panels, hood, rops and blade. The rest we wire wheeled to remove the rust spots and ruff up the existing paint. The primer we use is a heavy zinc two part epoxy. A gallon of it weighs about 25#. Its for a salt water environment. The top coat is Cat paint. Its pretty reasonably priced and the color matches perfect.

Got started on a 30,000 yard rock job today. Scuffed up all that new paint. I actually think it looks a little better now. A dozer without scuffs isn't making any money.

subject Nice paint work. The biggest dozers we have are D8Ns,and the biggest trackhoe is a 345.What size is the trackhoe in the pic?:usa

Real nice job there. Very impressive. Had me worried for a click though. Thought the blade was going back on without paint. Clicked down for the next pic and there it was painted as well.

    Its a 345B.

It amazing what paint can hide! Enough of it over the hoses will slow up oil leaks for a while too! Looks bloody good but! Heaps better than our flogged out items!:thumbsup
