D3 bevel gear issue

I’ve got a d3c that I recently bought and I’ve found that the bevel gear is over full and the transmission fluid is way down. Any thoughts on this?

    Hard to go thru a drive shaft

    Is either of the steering clutch housings over filled

    I’ll have to check. It just seemed strange that the bevel gear was so high over the full mark
