Hello all, I just picked up a Komatsu D31p-16 the machine has been sitting for about 15 years. The dozer runs good but the chassis is really rough and needs some serious TLC. I have a buddy that has a D31-17 with a blown engine but the chassis is in a lot better condition, right before the engine went he had new steering clutches, tracks and all new running gear put on. It would be nice just to do an engine swap on the two but not sure if it is possible. Does any one have any knowledge if that is possible with the two machines? Any information will be greatly appreciated! Thanks
