I have a komatsu d37-2 trans ran low of fluid and quit pulling added fluid and ran good for a day the stop pulling all together. Any suggestions appreciated
Start by check filters, not only change them but clean strainers and cut open the filters for materials types inside. If you blown seals or damaged clutch packs will be in the sumps and filters. If damaged the hydraulic pump will be little debris with full fluid, could even be a sheared coupler if the pump locked, look for chafed hoses/tubes that could be sucking air then as a last resolve pull the trans hydraulic pump for a shop to examine.
Thanks for the info Sonny machine have a torque convertor? The guy working on it put all retella 15/40 in trans and steering clutches.could the fluid b the problem also. Will the modulating valve have any affect on it not moving.
Are there any mechanic in the Mississippi area that familiar with this dozer?
Still trying fix my Dozer took to a local mechanic and he said no trans pressure install a new transmission pump still no luck any body with any ideas would b greatly appreciated
If has a new pump then something is not being driven, sheared coupler or gear>
Could it b in a valve body ? Dozer did it once and I change fluid which was low and clean screen and it ran like a top again for a bout 3-4 hours then just stop pulling again... any safety switch linkage anything that might b offset or bad
If new pump is not developing pressure either it never pulled suction(leaks) or there is something dumping that pressure or the drive for the pump is sheared.
or the modulating/inching valve is stuck in the position where it dumps fluid back to the case.
