Cat D3G LGP serial # BYR01624 It is in a remote location that has to be accessed by ATV, currently communicating by cell phone because they can't get enough data for internet. Has a memory code from a previous bad parking brake switch. Cleared that code. When we attempt to move the machine it does not throw any new codes. Parking brake will disengage, right track drives, but left does not. Left WILL roll when the right starts moving, but obviously the dozer will not move forward very far. With no codes, does this sound like a hard parts issue? Final drive? Drive motor? Any suggestions on what to check first? We do not possess a shop manual for this machine.
On the surface I would say something broke in the final as if it was hydraulic or control issue it would not free roll, pull the plug on the final and check for metal.
