    Impressive it balanced there

Maybe it rolled down the hill and that was the end result. Not good for the battery and acid though. Hmm with lack of damage maybe it was lifted into that position?

Looks like the windows are all gone, unless they were never there. Will need some love before it runs, even if not that much. Wondering if it was running when it went down. Simon C

It is an old old photo that has been cropped, the rest of the photo shows what happened. What has been mostly cropped is the trailer it was previously sitting on.

Saw a 10 one time that went over the highwall and land on blade like that. Then it rolled straight forward and made bananas out of the lift cylinders

I wish the pic. of a brand new D10N that hit a bridge while being delivered was online. The ripper tooth was installed upside down for transport but they forgot to lower it after loading the dozer on the trailer. The D10 was stuck almost vertical under the bridge with significant damage to the machine and the bridge. You see excavators that have hit bridges but a D10 stuck vertical under a bridge is on another level. The trailer was squashed flat on the ground. It looked really scary to even try to put chains or cables on it to get it out from under the bridge. The driver was in shock but they didn't specify what other injuries he received. He was going about 80kmh/50mph. The dozer was written off but member Alco on here said the company he worked for bought it for parts and it turned out to be a very good dozer. They had to swap the frame and cab and some other parts from an older D10N(s) they had.
