Im fixing to change the hydraulic oil on my D4D and noticed that there appears to be a place for a dipstick in the screen filter, but it's missing. If someone on here has one, could you tell me how far down the full mark is from the top (elbow) of the stick. Thanks!
A S/N would help find the information you are asking about. Can't speak for a D4D but I know many Cats I have worked on use the same style strainer but only some are checked with a dipstick in that location, many use sight gauges on the tank. That is why knowing the exact S/N is so important.
