Well either you're going to have a steep learning curve or get someone else to diagnose it. Kudos for posting the Serial Number BTW. See the attachment. Pulling the Diagnostic Codes from the electronic system is not hard. A factory tech would use ET but you can get by with a short piece of bent wire. Have a bash at it and post your results.
thanks for the reply nige now, before i go sticking a section of baling wire into the electronics of my dozer where do i get an ET you speak of and how much will it cost?
From your Cat dealer and it will cost you about $3000 initially plus a recurring cost of $750/year afterwards to keep the licence current. Please read that document I attached above. The piece of wire is an approved Cat procedure and will work just fine for you.

I would use something solid. Often we used a straightened-out paper clip. It worked well.
