At 4k hours, operator reported moderate clunk at FWD to REV. 300 hours later, tremendous clunk when changing directions, or even from neutral to FWD or Rev. No codes, and my stupid TEXA won't talk to the TCM or CEM. It talked to the CEM 300 hours ago. Any idea where to start? Z6A09345 4300hrs.
I would advise you to first check the cardan shaft under the cabin. If the cardan shaft is in good condition, then most likely the impacts occur due to rough engagement of the transmission clutches. Perhaps you need to calibrate the filling of the transmission clutches using CAT ET. You also need to check if there is nitrogen in the transmission accumulator (B)
Can you confirm the serial number? I would suspect machine needs the service letter completed to replace the modulation valves. Could be out of the coverage limits with the hours or age of machine so it may not be covered.
Service letter says why? Can't show reverse as the camera walks over the screen. Tried a 2nd TEXA unit, and still no communication to TCM or CEM.
Typically the modulation valves get sticky and don’t provide smooth shifts. The percentages your screen shows only tell you what the ecm is commanding the solenoids to do. How the spool reacts is where the magic happens.
Metal in 300hr filter (steel sparklies). #1 clutch freaks out during calibration (won't finish). Pulling transmission now. Where do I start? Is there a master soft parts list? Do I have to pick every part from the subgroups if there is no master (recommended) list? Reman part number just for reference? 549-8359 whole unit, $75k, can't find 0R number.
