Hy gents, Looking for your help ID the C frame on my tractor, it has a PAT system. the parts book mention several of arragement nrs and parts differ, any way i can ID this ? Thanks
Post a machine Serial Number and some photos of your blade installation.
Damm always missing the PN .. its 1DD06574
This is the Bulldozer Arrgt that was fitted when it left the factory. You should be able to break the 8E-2225 down easily enough.
Thanks Nige, u´re really helpfull. Can i ask u the parts break down for this 1YH02... as the EPC i have is dubious only list 1YH1-up I´m looking for the C-Frame bearing, it show type 1-3 and the bearings differ, could light me on this? thanks.
1YH1-Up is Cat shorthand for "1YH00001-Up". (they just leave out the zeros) Effectively what it is saying is "All 1YH from first built". By date of manufacture (1995) of the tractor as best I can tell your C-Frame is a Type 2.
That is enough. despite the part system at CAT is one of the best …. It has this iterations really dificult to get to. thanks
Hy, Can someone help with the dimensions of this pin 6Y-4027 (metric if possible). Thanks
You have two choices. Use a 6Y-4027 and grease it, or use the newer plated 8E-9214 Pin which (allegedly) does not reguire greasing. Actually from the article it appears as though the 8E-9214 was used for machines 1DD4345-Up, which would include yours. Overall length - 200mm Outside diameter - 88.5mm Slot Width - 14.0mm Slot Depth - 10.8mm
Well that answers some questions…. as in our tractor the pin is diff from the drawings for the PN listed. Thence the diameter questions… Other thing is that our tractor seem to have a stell bushing on the main frame, but EPC does not list one. Only list the greased pin and a brass bush. We haven’t taken it apart yet, cause we wanted to have all parts ready for a fast fix, unless the main frame boss need repair. Can I ask u to dig around and check about this? Thanks
Post some detailed photos of what you are looking at to assist in the search. Cat wouldn’t have used a brass/bronze bush in a high stress application such as that. If that is definitely the material then someone has been in there before and modified the original design.
I wonder if either of the attached documents is relevant to your machine.? Still need to see some photos though.
Thanks a lot , machine is 30yo so a lot gone by... Maybe along the way someone has sleved the boses, and done some custom repair on the C-Frame. Have to disassemble and go from there...
Hy gents anyone need the sizes of this pin 8G4187, metric pls Thanks
69.95mm diameter 200.5mm effective length. 8G-4187 is a hardened chrome-plated pin
Thanks
Hey Nige , something does not add up in the above , bearing is suited for a 60mm pin... Can u provide with a complete size chart, so i can build this ones myself. Thanks
Sorry that was a typo on my part. Outside diameter of the pin should be 59.95mm.
Understood, u have no access to a complete drawing of the pin in question? This seems odd but in this same tractor a cover plate at the lift pump broke, and in the process i lost the 2 bolts that fasten it, there´s no way i can get hold of this bolt PN in the catalog. Can u help with the bolt PN? should be a 5/32 by 1/2 exagon head stainless bolt. The cover is 8N-2640 tractor is 1DD6574.
Unfortunately not. Only basic dimensional information. The bolt won't be stainless, most llkely plated. Parts drawing of the transfer pump attached. According to it they are 6D-8498 Allen screws, #10-24 UNC thread x 9.55mm long - (13.55mm long including the head).
U´re the man, what would we do without your assistance. Thanks very much
