Hi, I am about to start a mini overhaul on a Komatsu d 65 it needs undercarriage replaced, 2000 hr service , some rams resealed , pins and bushes in blade etc. The blade also is getting a bit thin and we are going to reskin it. I have never done this before I am thinking just get plate rolled to the same profile and go over old skin? Put a few plug welds in it and obviously welds right the way round. Has anybody any tips for reskin or is that basically it .
