Im looking to buy a d6b dozer its in good shape except the engine has a knock what series is this engine? and what would it cost to rebuild it? I'm hoping it only needs a crank
Engine is a D333. If it has a spun bearing on the crank, you probably have metal contamination due to the failure, in more places than you would think. Be sure to clean everything up good. You will more than likely part with a a few thousand dollars for your rebuild. We had a 37A D6B on the ranch for a while, not a bad dozer, but when we sold it and got the D6D it was a big upgrade in comfort and power.
