Hi there, i have an Old d6c With the D333 engine, i have a god deal on a 3306 engine that i'm thinking to put in My dozer, My question is: does the 3306 fit directly to the tranny or is there any differenses between the engines rear fittings?
It could be done but at great cost today and every day you own it. I would rebuild the existing engine or find a good used D333. The swap means cobbeling up air and water hoses that no off the shelf parts will fit. Then a fuel system will too little or too much power. A pump drive at the rear of the engine that if not set up right will run dry bearings to destruction. Guess I'm too old to be that adventurous any more. Later Bob
