Hello everyone, I have a 1998 D6m I’m having an issue with. It operates fine in first and second gear both in forward and reverse but will not shift into third when you push the button nothing happens at all acts as tho second is your highest gear. Anyone have any experience like this?
Have that on our D6R, the company we purchased it from had a policy of taking top gear out of their machines so as the operators couldn't engage it, as there was no need for high speed. It's a software procedure, maybe yours is configured the same way.

To find out if 3rd gear has been electronically disabled will require hooking Cat ET up to the machine to look at the transmission configuration. As a matter of policy all our tractors had 3rd gear disabled at delivery before they were put to work.
