Quick question for those in the know... D6R III 36" extreme service pads. Replacing a lost track pad bolt. I have a new cat bolt and nut, what is the torque method for that bolt? Ken

Anti-seize on the bolt threads, the shank, and under the head. Not sure of the torque procedure if it's torque plus degrees or a straight torque. Shoe width will make no difference to the torque.

Info out of Cat PSK says 300 + - 50 ft lbs and then an additional 1/3 turn.

I finally got hold of local cat dealer. They said 370 ftlbs plus 1/3 turn. New bolt with never seize.

Did they mention the words "anti-seize everywhere including under the bolt head"..? This is especially critical if you are installing bolts into old worn track shoes that can have a less than perfect surface finish where the bolt head sits.
