Hello, been a while since my last post, been cutting siesmic line since early dec,but now im having trans issues and my cat is down. the problem im having is that it keeps kicking into neutral, everytime i come out of a right steer.i then have to push the lever ahead(into a L steer, then return it to center, select N,select F,and off i go again.I can steer left, and return the lever to center just fine. Its only when i steer right, and then just before the lever hits center, its kicks into N,brakes apply approx.40-50%,vis.&aud.alarms. I can manage to keep it from happening,IF,when i come out of a right steer,i very quickly go PAST center, and just bump into left steer, before returning to center.....Hope that makes sense, lol. the problem was intermitent at first, but now its constant. also, the trans filter by-pass light has been flashing since, and we are awaiting a new filter. Cat tech sugested/ordered a complete Assy. with the codes i gave him.part arrive sat/sun,i hope. Has anyone had this issue?im hoping the lever assy will fix it,but kinda think it could've been narrowed down a bit... Also, will anything need to be re-calibrated with the new assy,or plug in and go? thanx for ANY input JP Oh,also what cat-et-diagnostic gear is req.,we're interested due to our location D6RLGP,SeriesII,2004/5,CAT00D6RJADE00412, codes regarding issue(113)299.13---468.08----618.12----668.12----
I would put my money on chafed or broken wiring in the lever or console, common after a few years of continious bending back and forth.
