Hello, I have a problem with my D7G. When it's cold, the gears shift smoothly, but when the machine warms up, the gears stop shifting and the machine doesn't move. I'd like to know what the problem could be? Is it the converter or the transmission valve? Thanks
Please quote a Serial Number. What type/grade of oil is in the transmission.? Do you have pressure gauges.?
Have you pulled the magnetic strainer out and checked it
Must be a secret.
Ive been lurking this site for 10years but only joined this year. But it still amazes me the amount of threads that start the same way then never get a response. Is the oil level correct? Are the adjustments on linkages correct, loose or binding? Are there teeth left on the sprockets? Are the tracks on and adjusted or laying on ground next to machine? Pull the floor and look at the shaft and see if its spinning. Niges patience must be incredible.
You can lead a horse to water, but only smashing its balls between two bricks will make it drink……
The transmission pump is losing pressure or prime.
Put new o rings on magnetic filter housing, pull manifold where the pump pulls oil through the magnetic filter housing and replace o rings there. We have 2 D7G dozers and I have seen them both suck air on the suction sides it will make them do exactly as you described.
