We pulled in some tile for a perimeter drain on my sons house. The neighbor has a tile plow but needs help pulling it. The D8 pulled it so fast and hard the tractor could not adjust grade because of too much pressure.
How far did you have to run to get natural drain on the tile? Around here I have wondered how well that tiling actually works. We have massive clay , the kind that comes out of a backhoe bucket and stays the shape of the bucket if it comes out at all. I am somewhat familiar with midwestern soils they seem so much more loamy/sandy than they are here.
Probably 600 feet. Where it rises we are going to run a trunk line to the creek. It had 7 feet of fall from where it started to where it ended. We should be good. The area is clay soils but the glaciers must have pushed up weird things on this ridge. The well is 32 feet deep and it is the highest point for over 1000 feet.
How deep are you there? Prerip? dirt down the boot? Cable hooked to plow?
