Recently we replaced the hydro pump on the D8, now I have no back pressure in the tank when I take the cap off and see no flow in the tank, it also blows my front cylinder, has done it twice. Anyone have any thoughts?
Can you explain "blows my front cylinder' please. Is the cylinder barrel bursting or the gland and / or wiper seal leaking oil around the rod. There is no back pressure in those tanks . The pressure is created by the expansion of the hydraulic oil heating up. If the cylinder is leaking badly ,that is why there is no tank pressure when you start unscrewing the cap. Is there good tight seal when the cap is tightened ? Gasket may be defective.
Those had the ball bearing vent caps did they not? Designed to safely vent pressure before the cap screwed all the way off.....
The front cylinder keeps blowing my seals has done it twice now in a week
Why did you replace the pump? Major failure? May have sent debris downstream into the relief valve, now you have no pressure control. It's all a guess without testing
