Working on a d8k, was parked after forwarding gears became intermittently weak along with the right side steering clutch not disengaging. Pulled the magnetic screen out and found an entire roller bearing in pieces in it, along with what look like chipped gear teeth. Got the parts book out to try and Id the bearing, closest match I’m seeing is 1M-4095, not seeing any likely culprits in the bevel gear case. Figured I’d post some pics and try to verify it came out of the transmission before I get ready to pull it.
What's the S/N of the tractor. Makes it easier to look up Part Numbers.

What about 5H-1901 (#27) in the Transfer Gear Gp.? Probably a more likely candidate. Would still need to pull the transmission either way.
looked at that one as well, putting together the pieces of the roller cage make it seem like the bearing would be at least 4 inches ID which would be too large for this bearing, but hard to tell just by putting the pieces together. 1M-4095 matches the diameter closer but honestly not sure how pieces this big could have made it out from the center of the transmission.
Gonna have to clean all the hard metal out of that whole system. Wonder what the pump looks like?
