Basic hp is 385 but need a specific s/n to get the right specs.

its a 66A model but dont know the s/n. I believe it runs between 1200 and 1330 rpm. just looking to make sure this is the right rpm. My Dad turned them down years ago and he put a lot of money into them and we are keeping the life going in them.

Well, your not going to be able to fine check without the s/n. There are changes in fuel settings, with or without air fuel ratio controller, different rack settings, manifold pressure, etc. Here are some standard specs: FL rpm is 1330 High idle 1435 rpm (early), 1465 rpm (later) Low idle 465 +/- 30 rpm FI pump lifter setting 2.0899 in. +/- 0.0005 TQ stall rpm 1059 +/- 65 rpm

Pete, could you post a few Manifold Pressure at Torque Stall numbers too please. Full load is Dangerous to check with engine in a tractor. It.s above TC Stall and you need to drive, drag the brakes, watch the gauges and listen to your navigator yell as you are about to run over some one or thing you don't want to. Later Bob

Thank you for the info. on the RPM ratings. I am going to talk to Cat. and see if there is any old timers still working for Cat. that can come and set the speed for me. All the young bucks are used to plugging in and using their laptops. Thanks again. will upload pics. when I figure out how to do it.
