Is it ok to start the engine if the driveshaft is removed between the transmission and torque converter? And does the scavenge pump need to be removed to pull the transmission? D9H 90V
No torque shaft will come out and you will have a dandy mess to cleanup. about the scavenge pump I don't remember having to take it off but a few bolts might make it easier
Might be worth pulling the tc to check it out and reseal and rebearing it whilst you’ve got cab and belly plate off it. Easy enough job to pull when you’re this far in
