Trees, not so good. The "C" blade has no tilt, and a limited amount of lift, as it comes up against the belly pan. It will drop down a loooong ways, but if you drive into the hole it digs, you just might get stuck, as the blade will not raise far enough to get back out. I have seen that happen before. You can do some smoothing of the scraper cut with them, but they are just next to useless for anything but pushing scrapers, as they are intended to do.

http://www.youtube.com/user/DieselPowerTV#p/u/95/F73OBir-IKk I guess it depends on what size tree you're talking about. I didn't know that about them getting stuck because the blades wouldn't go up enough as I'd never seen it happen, but it makes sense.

I had ran a d9g with the inside c frame and pushing blade, like said they are made to push pans and stay in the cut, had to grade with it, push out stumps and work the ripped and shot rock with no tilt. It was hard to see the corner bits and took awhile to get a good feel having to keep the track lower on one side to cut with the corner bit most of the time. The blade did not go up that high but like said would go down and dig well, did alot of clearing and that is not the d9 blade combo to use, been there done that.

does a su blade setup weigh less then? i just read a d9h base machine weighs 72500..if thats right, does a blade setup really weigh 20+k? i figured 15k max, but im guessing.
