Wonder who got the milling. Thats either a 2100 or a 2200 Wirtgen and the only people down there with those are Lane and Villager. I'd hate to know a northern outfit beat the locals out for the milling.... I was on that track will Mill-it back in 95.

i cant believe that it takes a 9 to hold the paver in place going around the turns, The roller is steel drum so i kinda understand that one. why dont they run rubber tired rollers ? Pj

I would be sweet to see that set up at work. how do hey keep the crawlers moving at the same speed as the roller and pavers?

I wouldn't have expected such a coarse mix. Must make for a sore back by the end of the day!

interesting crane set-up.. hope they don't drink to much water... the crane may tip the left rear sure doesn't appear to have much weight on it ...1st pic... post 12

I like the concrete weights on the outriggers... other then extra weight, what is the purpose of the Generator sitting on the counterweight of the crane? Very cool photos

it runs the bucket convayor that feeds the paver. Also the auger inside the hopper the shuttle buggy is dumping into.

Seems complicated! a heavy wheeled vehicle at the bottom with a rigid link up to someplace above the CG of the paver and include the conveyor on it. Too easy to re-engineer it from a desk though
