My 1986 d4h dozer loses speed and power after working 15-30 min. It continues to get worse and after an hour or two will barely run in first gear. Trying to turn by applying one side brake causes it to stop or even stall. Fuel filter changed, air filter changed. Hydraulic fluid filter changed. Wire mesh fluid filter and magnates cleaned. Any ideas?
Remove fuel cap immediately after it dies, see if the vent is plugged.
It could be something floating around in your fuel tank getting sucked onto/into fuel supply line...then when you kill it, it floats and unstops the fuel line.
Pull up on center pedal when this occurs. The needle bearings on the pedal shaft fail/ partially seize.
Had a 7H doing that.......Funny thing, it would get hot
