the safety lever needs to be almost slammed downward to work, and then sometimes the machine runs real slow and I push harder down it runs faster. is all the adjustment right in the cockpit or is there adjustment at other end to. how does it work? is there a valve that shuts all inflow to pilot controls?
The pilot shut off valve shuts off all pilot pressure to the pilot controllers. There is a control cable that runs from the mechanism inside the cab to the pilot shut off valve (item #5) under the cab. Try adjusting rod end (item#6) shown in screenshot below.
