Deere 318D Quick Tach not working from the switch.

The motor does work if hooked up directly but isn't working by way of the switch on the machine. Is there a fuse or relay for this? I did find a 30 amp in-line fuse back by the starter which is good.

Welcome to HEF Dozerman ! First, when posting, please always include a machine serial number. There are 2 fuses for that circuit. The one you checked and the F7 20 amp fuse. Did you check the 20 amp F7 fuse? There are 2 relays under the cab, left side when looking in, if I recall correctly. If your Quick-tach does not work in either direction, then it is not likely a relay. One relay is for lock, the other is for unlock.

Yes, both the inline and f7 fuses are good.

Is the switch good and passing voltage through it? Time to start at the quick-tach and work backwards with a meter or test light to find where you are loosing your voltage.
