How do I get the rod out of this cylinder ?
There‘s a hidden snap ring on the gland that contacts a tapered step in the cylinder barrel which stops the gland from coming out. Tap the gland into the barrel about 1 1/4 “ to expose the tapered step in the barrel. Do you have the seal kits yet ? Not sure about aftermarket but a barrel seal kit from Deere will have an orange plastic “filler ring“ to fill in the tapered step in the barell allowing the snap ring and gland to pass over as the cylinder rod and gland is pulled out.
Yes I have an aftermarket seal kit from hw part store. Thanks a lot Dave I am going to check it out now
Is there anything else besides that snap ring holding it up? It still isn't coming apart
Sorry to bother you, I got it out. The mini was pulling downwards too much
