My Wabco 555 grader has a Detroit 671 and the in-block coolant heater has a short in it. It is located behind the blower drive and is kind of a stinker to get at. I was thinking of replacing it with a recirculating heater. The upper fitting looks easy to get at on the top of the water manifold but I'm not sure to find a bottom connection for the heater. How far down does the water jacket go on the block? I would send a picture but then I'd have to wash off all the oil..... Thanks Brent
