Just wandering if anyone has had problem with fuel contamination in sump.Had little dozer for about 2 years with no problem but just checked dipstick and about 2 inches over full mark.Guessing an internal seal on fuel pump but not sure.Any information would be helpful thanks.
2 places to check. 1) the supply pump.. it has a rubber diagram in it that sometimes ruptures and will dump fuel into “the sump”..($35.00) 2) the injection pump.. the seals on the drive shaft will cut grooves into the brass tube in the front of the pump.. A) from dirty fuel or dirty oil..and dump fuel.. B) the seals on the drive shaft gets hard and will leak fuel.. C). If the injection pump has been off recently, the installer rolled the FIRST seal on the drive shaft.. If u need help diagnosing (proving) each component.. let us know. Good luck
Thanks for that, will start working on that when i get home.
