Hey guys, we have been having a run of bad luck at the ranch with our 2005 Cat 420D. Clipped a rock with the lower pressure line at the back of the machine.... on a friday evening. By monday when the hydraulic shop opened up, it had filled my biggest drip pan, and then some. Changed the line, and had to add 30L of oil. So my question is, do I have to bleed the hydraulic oil on this type of system, or am I good to let it sit for a bit then fire it up without causing any damage? Thanks! Jordan
No special procedure. You may want to cycle all the functions before signing off on oil level.
