We have a 2013 DL220-3 wheel loader ser #DWGCWLATKD1010038 which shifts through forward gears 1,2,3, fine. Specs say it should have 1,2,3,and D. When driving forward it never shifts into D or 4th on the screen and no shift is felt. AEB starter programing has all been OK after fluid change. Are we missing something? Machine is new to us. Only has 3400 hours on it. Thanks in advance
Is that in 'Manual' mode or in 'Auto" (2-4 or 1-4)? Best way to find transmission problems is with Doosan DMS 3 or ZF Testman, trans codes don't always appear on dash. Also try shifting with the joystick controls, that eliminates the lever. Hope this helps
WE drove it in both auto modes, display only indicates the shift through 1,2,3 Not sure if if has a joystick shift button. It has a kick down button. Display shows 1,2,3 or if put in 2-4 shows 2,3. No indication of going into gear 4. held pedal as fast as it would go and doesn't go into 4th. where do I shift manually with the joystick? We did replace the joystick as soon as we got it because a few of the buttons were missing parts. The replacement came right from New Holland dealer
Yes, the joystick shift is an option. As you are not seeing 4th, and it passed an AEB, I would be looking at the shifter or wiring. Sounds like the TCU is not getting a signal. If you could get someone out with DMS, that is simple. It shows all the outputs from the shifter. To manually test, back probe the plug to the shifter. 4th, has pin A and B live. I am not sure on the smaller machines, but i can speed limit the pit machines by not letting it shift into 4th. Can be reset with DMS 3 good luck, hope this helps
