Hello all, could anyone tell me if the rear casing bolt pattern on a 1H, 8R and 2U D8 are the same ? Also same info required for 7M, 3T and later 17A type D7. Thanks, Chris

re Stud patterns as to logging winch fitting D8 1H 8R 2U 13A are all the same D7 7M 3T are the same. 17A i 'think' are the same but not totally sure, as D7 s up to 3T all had Hyster D7N winchs on them. But every 17A ive seen, and there has been a few ! All had D7D winchs on them

Had a look in both winch books for Hyster D7N and D7D. No differences are listed between a 17A and 3T so stud patterns and drive shafts must be the same

Your pics. are too close up to tell exactly what's broken. First impression is forget welding it and replace the damaged parts. Looks almost impossible to repair by welding. Is that an idler?

7018, and you have to remove that part and make a donut looking plate to weld over it that is thicker than the part and covers at least 4 inches past the crack out, the more the better, there is no way to weld that opening and hope it will hold. And how is the other side?

Would need to see more in order to determine if it might be possible to repair. It looks like it has been broken for quite awhile. If it is an idler probably best to just replace it.
