John deere 410 g engine guage maxes out when plugged in and engine is running instantly,input voltage is at 5.5 and a new sending unit.so far found no wiring issues.if you unplug sending unit the guage drops but I get a f455 code.any ideas?
On old style gauge the problem could be a the voltage reg located on inst panel. Does it peg meter when engine not running? If pegs meter only when running check for high voltage from altenator
it will peg out but then slowly drops to about 3/4 then bounce around.Voltage when running is 13.5 at the alt,then while it was running the guage dropped to normal range for about 30 seconds then maxed out again.dont have a wiring schematic so running blind ,anyone have the guage cluster go bad?
