Engine Swap 1985 WA350-1 Komatsu ( what engines will bolt up in this loader)

The model of the engine to be replaced is (S6D110-1 turbo diesel) Having trouble finding this model used, but there are many other models available. Does anyone know what models will bolt up, if any?

    Someone told me that, some WA350's had a Cummins in them. Does anyone know anything about this

    Hi Drew, Engine is a S6D110-1A S/N 50195-UP. Part Number 613E-52-RC00 (Komatsu Part Number) In terms of it being a Cummins Engine I'm not sure as we dont have a reference to it. Also the short block PN is 613E-SE-0020. Your battle to fit another series engine is going to be hard as the dash 1 was fitted with the 110 and the dash 3 is a 108 Hope this helps

    you could fit a cummins b or cser pick up good second hand out of a truck or 2nd machine

    A B series Cummins might work but a C series would be better. Rebuilding the Komatsu 110 engine would be a lot better bet than trying this swap. Motor mounts will be different, bell housing might be different and the spacing and clearances will all be different. Good Luck whatever you decide.
