That's one of my only reasons for still using them for weather. They keep coming up with sneaky ways to defeat ad-blocking techniques, and I can't stand all the extra "stuff". For just looking at still aerial images, check out www.flashearth.com . It let's you switch between Google Earth Images, MS Virtual Earth, Yahoo Maps, Ask.com, and others seamlessly on the fly.
