I've got an ew-170 i'm working on where the dozer blade creeps a little. The lower it is, the more creep it has. When I lift up on the blade and let go of the control it whines/howls a little. My guess is releif valve of some sort. Any Idea on where to look?
Apparently the noise was not related to the issue at hand. After lowering the outriggers putting a little pressure on the ground, then sucking them back up. The noise when moving the dozer blade does not appear anymore. As far as the creep. A man that works for the volvo place stopped by to lend a hand. The blade cylinders have a block, one on each side that have check/hold valves. Took all 4 valves out for inspection. Found rubber pieces on one side that didn't belong to the o-rings to the check valves. Leaving only one culprit. Cylinder... Looks Like i'll be rebuilding a dozer blade cylinder.
