I have an ex 150 seems to be hung up in high mode operates at fast speed tracks plus boom bucket bogs down in power after 2 hrs of operation.
Welcome to HEF working man 72 . Please clarify , what functions are “ fast” ? and what functions “bog down in power after 2 hrs of operation“ ?
Will not switch from turtel to fast track mode. 3 function switch low economy power giving issues the issue were having it starts in high mode and track speed bucket boom speed are in high mode after period of time bogs in power cannot get it to swich to ecno mode. Contemplated on hydrolic conversion kit no info on ex 150 hitachi dash one
The typical “hydraulic conversion kit“ does not apply to a Hitachi EX150-1 as the hydraulic pump/system is not the same style as compared to a Hitachi EX110/120/200/220 -2 or -3 . Check the Controller 10A fuse in the fuse panel , it powers the controller for auto idle, high speed travel ,low, economy and power mode functions. . When you say the “machine bogs down in power after a couple of hours “ ,does the engine performance change or the just the hydraulic performance ?
Hydralic gets weaker as it gets hot and engine seems to slow down the fuse was checked. Fuse checked out good. Noticed no power to the two pressure swiches on the control valve. Theres a series of 3 solinods that work in conjunction to the pressure switches they were serviced were stuck fixed that but problem persits
I wouldn’t guarantee you should have power out at the auto idle control travel and dig pressure switches .I suspect the pressure switches are only providing a signal to the controller that the particular circuit is open or closed. If you think the tracks are not going into high speed, try eliminating the solenoid valve and any electrical by the following. Remove the hose going to the hydraulic pump at the solenoid valve. Cap the fitting on the solenoid valve but leave the hose open and catch any oil in a container. See if the machine propels any faster. As far as the poor performance goes , make sure at high idle the lever on the injection pump is contacting the high speed stop. Also there is a screen filter in the banjo bolt at the fuel transfer pump inlet that can get plugged up.
The machine stays in constant rabbit mode the harness got burnt and repaired all the wires that were damaged. Could it be a cpu problem. Or stuck valve in the control valve the tracks speed boom bucket an swing are in fast speed
Do the turtle/ rabbit indicator lights in the monitor change position when changing the control switch position ? FYI, the turtle/rabbit control system should have no affect if you are ONLY using dig/swing functions .The system should only come in to play when traveling or traveling and using a dig/swing function.
The green light shows change from low to high speed travel but still traxels in rabbit mode the power selection switch only goes to low to high trottel no ecno mode with manual trotel in full speed position
When in economy mode, check for 24 volts at the economy solenoid valve. If voltage is ok, with a small screwdriver check for magnetism at the solenoid coil. Follow the hose from the solenoid valve to the small economy mini cylinder, make sure cylinder mounting is tight in the bracket. See screenshot below indicating the economy solenoid .
Ty dave i give it a try and update any results
I found that the barrel solenoid 1was loose outa place. The diagram.you sent on the 3 solinolds the middel one controled the motor speed function low eco ect. Still having issue with travel speed. It only goes to hi power to low no ecno mode
If I understand you correctly, using the mode switch ,you can only achieve engine low (L) speed or engine full throttle (P) speed but not engine economy (E) speed. See the (3) screenshots below showing the solenoid arrangement order , the hose routing to the auto idle and economy speed mini cylinders and the wire harness colours to the 3 solenoids. . FYI, when in “P“ mode and you switch from rabbit to turtle (or vice versa) , the engine speed doesn’t change only the pump displacement. The pump displacement signal is controlled by the normally open (N/O) solenoid #3.
Ignore my quote above , it is incorrect. . See screenshot below of the engine speed and hydraulic pump displacement chart in the various mode switch and travel H/L (rabbit/ turtle) switch positions. .
The swash plate in refrence to the hydrolic pump. I havent worked on the pump knowlage is limited problal be soomthing to be attributed to the pump been my thought.
I think the flow sense valve pressures and the hydraulic pump regulator settings (engine pull down) need to be checked and adjusted as necessary. The Hitachi manual doesn’t seem to have the info but I can send the procedures from the Deere equivalent 590D if you like.
Yes plz do if you dont mind txs again

Hi i have same machine same issue i cannot locate this computer i have found 3 valves at back wall behind pump on engine is this the 3 solinoids
.
Hi dave i have located this and woth power connected no spark nothing happens .I have disassembled and reassembled when running pipe to pump has pressure Does displament solinoid need pressure for turtle mode
Displacement solnoid to pump hose need pressure or no pressure for turtle mode
The only time the pump displacement hose sees no pressure is when traveling only regardless of turtle/rabbit position. Example, when in “P” mode, turtle position and traveling only the pump displacement hose sees no pressure ,it is the engine speed mode cylinder that becomes active reducing engine speed. At all other times when using a dig/swing function or dig/swing and travelling the pump displacement hose is pressurized. Be aware, the pump displacement solenoid valve works opposite to the other 2 solenoids valves in the valve bank.
Ok lil confused i thought by thread this was how it changes from turtle mode to rabbit (or is there another solinoid i need to look for
Sorry , to be clear when I was talking about the turtle position and turtle/rabbit position in post #23 ,I was referring to the propel (turtle/rabbit) switch.
Does the decal around the “mode” switch look like below or does it just say P E L ? .
No i have rectangle switch with picture rabbit n turtle
I was referring to the “mode“ switch and decal as shown in the screenshot below.
Mine isn't like that it's rectangle toggle switch
Ahhh sorry my bad yes none of them work
I'm trying to wire without computer so stays in turtle mode only for traval as it won't turn or struggles get up slight inclines
”Turtle“ mode is not going to help you turn or climb. With the pump displacement solenoid not being powered , by default the hydraulic pump should be in “low“ maximum displacement already. Your description of the very poor travel performance sounds like the system could use as much pump flow as available. Try powering the pump displacement solenoid which should allow the pump to reach “high” maximum displacement and provide approximately 10% more flow. See if it helps at all with travel.
Which would be no pressure in the line ?
At present line has pressure in displacement solenoid i I have had solinoid apart cleaned all rust and still doesn't work Auto up solinoid has no pressure was going swap lines to try see if diffrence
Yes . Good idea. If the engine speed is affected by swapping hoses, you may have to remove the mini cylinder from it’s mounting bracket.
