I am looking at a used excavator (ex 270 1993) that a friend of mine has, He purchased it at an auction for 15000,and decided he didnt really need it. He has never run it but everything seems to work good, but its kinda rough looking. It looks like it was used alot for demo,and I mean really used (has a thumb),some bent tin,but like i said everything seems to work, no major leaks. The hr meter says 10,000 He said he would sell it to me for the same price. Can you guys help me out. My exc. business is on the side right now.but i hope to do it full time in a couple of years. just trying to get some Iron paid for first, and for the economy to get a little better, cuz Michigan is bad right now. thanks for any help you guys can give!!!!
hired a trusted mechanic to give you a mechanical assessment on the machine. $3-$500 might be cheap at this point.
