I have ex200-2 bought new 1993, 16,500 hours, original pumps. New wiring harness at 11,500 hours. The problem is when arm is pulled in at full stroke and boom up at the same time I get surgeing - or jerking action. DR Ex came up with code 26 -DP sensor. How to test DP sensor before I buy 1.?? What else could it be? Had dealer mechanic / technician stop by. He said pumps could be it after looking at hours on machine. $8,500.00 for rebuilt pump. All past oil samples have been good.

Did you clear the codes and try it again ?
Yes. Cleared codes 2 or 3 times.
Monitor your dp sensor pressure on your Dr ex it should go down to zero when demanding high flow (boom raise, arm in, travel etc) from the pumps, it should go up in pressure when less flow is required. Another quick way to test is to disconnect the dp sensor connector on the valve block and operate the machine which will cause the engine to load up and stall. As for the jerking you describe during operation this could be due to the spring clip located on the pump angle sensor which often get lost during sensor replacement.
