Excavator bucket bushing.

My mini excavator bucket has 30 mm pins. I just purchased a used bucket and has 32 mm ears. How would be the best way to shim it down. I know the right way would be to have the bore hole in the ears welded up then line bored out to 30mm, but that ain't gonna happen. I found some 30 id by 25 od on ebay. If i got one of these and ground the od dow do you think it would hold or is that too thin.

Either you replace the pin or the bucket, replacing the pin is easier and cheaper

Ya, that’s way too thin. Might be better off cutting ears off and sizing to 30 mil ears, or the redneck way and go to smaller pin and bush the ears down.

Might be just best to get a bucket designed to fit your machine. A bucket with 32 mmm ears could be too big and heavy for your size machine.

Problem solved. Had a band saw blade, just bent it in a circle, and drove it in. Red neck way.
